instead of weeping, wailing, and gnashing my teeth, i wanted to enter something more upbeat on this screen. unfortunately, there's been some discouraging news amongst some of my favorite journalists... casting a pall over being excessively flippant. that, and the fact that my toes haven't thawed for the past three days (and don't stand a very good chance of doing so, for the next few more)... well, it just sucks. sometimes, life just does that. to the extreme. and all of the bitching and moaning in the world won't make it any different. but, like i've written before in the words of RobertNestaMarley, "when the rain fall, it don't fall on one man's house." though it's easy to lose sight of the concept, i'm grateful for every day i get... and i've had a few more than many. with considerably more positivity as a whole, i confess. my spouse seems to reject the philosophy, which makes it difficult to follow my own advice, occasionally. nonetheless... i don't take my senses for granted (that goes for the simple pleasures of the draught, too). or being able to say what i want, or live my own way... responsibly. i'm glad for the souls that i've had the privilege to come into contact with (human and animal)... and i don't think we gravitate randomly, either. i still believe things happen for a purpose... if for nothing more, our continuing education. another chance to do better than the time before. yep, you can still say i'm a dreamer. but i'm not the only one. |
