when there's hope you don't need dope

typin' after midnight

musin' 'til the dawn

you know i'm getting a tad burnt out when i've got JudasPriest going on in my head... really, by the time this kind of headbanging came out, my taste for it had mutated into another form. anyhow, the band's name was an oft-heard curse heard 'round the house in my tender years.

funny... never thought of them as "tender" before.

hmmm. is it still digression before you even establish a train of thought?

i couldn't bring myself to do any mental shuffling last night... or this evening, to be sure. we're back into this bone-crushingly boring routine of marathon ass-sitting in the "living" room (and we're not "living" in the other ones?)... as the night comes down, the tube is our stimulation, our dope. god help us if the power went out.

since her patient had a recent bad spell, and still recovers in hospital, Yoko's barricaded herself in the house... "highly strung" would be a good way to describe it. maybe the "dope" idea's not so farfetched, after all.

instead of doing my homework... making an inspired effort to make a playlist for today's show... last night was spent watching all of the better Bond-flicks that i'd managed to miss: FromRussiaWithLove, YouOnlyLiveTwice. maybe it wasn't such a waste, come to think of it. nothing like a little thematic redemption to make the time pass.

what rankles the most is just letting the time pass, wastefully... biding our time until there is no more.

jeez... no wonder i hate to write when it gets like this.

more than likely, the heaviness in the atmosphere is getting to me. the mood is dictated by the forecast: cold as balls, snow imminent. details after the break.

it's like that old calm-before-the-storm thing: nothing's happening now, but promises to bust out at some undisclosed point. JA seems like a far off possibility... another music marathon looms large... the skies lower.

stillness has its ominous implications.

to sleep... perchance to dream.
