reality-based

so far, i seem to have avoided the first impulse that crossed my mind... oh, two days ago:
complete mental shutdown from swift and plentiful alcohol consumption.
at this point, that would seem to be the only way to accept having to live four more years under the heel of totalitarian evangelical ignorance. since those who now feel "empowered" and "mandated" think that now would be a good time to "crush my skull to the curb" (as well as those like me that may actually have a grasp of reality), sobriety in that climate seems less than desirable.
thank you for your compassionate conservatism, Yoshido-san.
so much for reaching "across the aisle"... which does not include those who don't share the same "values".
yes, quotations are used specifically... because the words contained therein are going to be driven like bamboo under the fingernails until the cows come home. or the crows some home to roost, more like.
the biggest joke here is use of the word "values"... since one value we are supposed to ignore is one we used to call "truthfulness". despite what we read in the news. the media is "liberal", anyway, and therefore invalid. also, our values must be embraced by the rest of the world because our god is the best god... even though we break every one of those commandments that he wrote, personally, as a country.
sarcasm. my personal antidote against "hipocracy".
a note of irony: considering all of the states that invalidated same-sex unions, and the general zeitgeist on the subject... the most oft-repeated word the victors can use in the past two days is "mandate". like "man"-"date". i wonder if they'd get it?
i doubt, seriously, if i will consciously enter a church, ever again.
god doesn't like liberals. or so i am led to believe.

so, i'm not taking this well.
this is obvious. this wound will heal... and i'll remember how i got it, by the scar.

my radio show is going to kick some ass, tomorrow.

perhaps there will be tales of toxicity to tell, in days to come.
