...that's what this spin on the orb seems more like, today, unlike the usual melodrama. An entire state taking leave of its senses... the television inundating the masses with images of Ahhnolt the Sperminator, its chosen heir to the throne. Forgetting how the whole mess got started (by the same crowd that's engineering the recall). A towering Man-O-War of a thundercloud sitting on top of the workplace for hours, with million-volt stingers... blowing out the 'net for most of the evening. The missing-toothed, beer-bellied, ex-prison guard of the Klan drawling, "if'n yawl got nuthin' tuh do, ah need somebahdy tuh lay down some black plastic and mulch around the ahr conditionin' yewnits." And I thought we were supposed to be desktop publishers. Or people of intelligence. Destined and ordained to make the world a better place. Silly, silly me. |
