reprise

alright.

this has gone on long enough.

the not writing, that is.

it's like having a broken tooth, or a cracked filling... it's possible ignore it for a while, but your tongue is going to make a career out of it, sooner-or-later. until you do something about it.

collective madness. that's what the past few weeks look like in review. and, in its relentlessness, has put a severe slip in my grip... in all the usual ways, exhaustively chronicled. ad nauseum.

were it not for the leaf and tons of anime, i'm not so sure i could have withstood it. and, for all its escapism and fantasy, japanese animation has led me to: ukiyo-e. i spent two days studying every image, at great length.

at last... a positive sign.

it's a start.
