Uncomisserated Swedish Lapdance

Never assume that a task is simple, even if it only involves simple elements. Case in point, swapping out solenoids on the Asian Borg-Warner automatic gearbox... a zen nightmare. Remove two bolts, disconnect a wire... "refitting reverse of removal." Smartass manual. This looks like one of those things that was attached before the gearbox got mounted.

So, I spent the late afternoon in the wind and damp leaves, hurling curses to Valhalla. For want of one tool, and I'd be done. Perhaps. No More Automatics, dammit.

An earlier start would've helped, but we took a drive back to the Siamese rescue instead with application for adoption. Gawd, the place is crawling with sassy two-tones. No matter what we call it, its going to be "AhSo" to me... if it gets too feisty, I'll pretend it's an east London swear word, and add an "L" at the end. Primitive but effective.

Another "breathless" Friday evening... at least, saw the latest Coen Bros. film, "The Man Who Wasn't There." First-rate Noir... great locations in the deco extreme, and a disturbing taste in the mouth afterward. Feeling transparent in the crowd is an old familiar one.

Coincidence Of The Day: Biggles rang, with news that he's staying the course here... and is moving across town. Stonehenge Avenue. What was on the telly? Travel Channel hour-long Stonehenge documentary. How Queer.

Another stab at Gearbox Frustration, tomorrow... The fun new game from Milton Bradley of Gthenburg. Barring that, it's a good time of year to buy convertibles!
