cities in dust

in the tangled, ironic web that life can be, i've been missing this journal for a while. reading, embarrassingly, hasn't really been the problem... things like this, for instance. on the occasions that i have the opportunity to tune in to some of my favorite people, there's always been something... whether an annoyance, a breakage, or just plain sloth as an excuse not to depressurise my own mindfuck. not like life has passed me by, either.
it's like longer you sit in one place, the more gravity you accumulate... hands and feet feel heavier and stiff, brainpower dims, trying to fire the imagination is like trying to squeeze honey from a bottle in a cold kitchen.
well... i seem to have described the workplace for the past few weeks.
until the minute i started writing this, of course.
and, as i say to myself nearly every day, "maybe tomorrow."
i hope i'm not running out of them.
