I'm hot. no, i don't mean "aroused" or "engorged"... "tumescent" or, in fact, "horny." nope. i'm fucked off. my profile, which was starting to make me uncomfortable with my omissions of really good movies, music, authors... and some silly prose was overdue for some adjustment. so i did... adjusting, that is. i hit the "look at your new profile!" button... and they were all gone. muthafucka. this is a pretty good allegory for how this day has been. good intentions, gone to hell. slightly off-kilter. Rrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. it started with waking up. i mean, i slept OK... even if i kept waking up long before the alarm. there was a fucked up dream in the mix, where i was driving a clunky old Mini... that i eventually got the rhythm of driving. then i woke up, before i got somewhere. the Diva was at home, when i rose. i've been here for about two years, now... two nights a week, a hundred bucks a month. it saves me from driving home every night, to the tune of one hundred sixty miles, 'round trip. well, today must have been a menopausal moment... or something. i got the distinct impression that I Was In The Way. she's usually never there when i get up, but her vacation has been ongoing since last week... so there she was. couldn't get the coffee up and running until the kitchen was clear. as soon as i got it together to take a shower, on goes the clothes washer. no sooner had i packed my bags, she was dismantling my room as if i wasn't here. all of this i can grasp, as long as i get a "fuck you" or something. well, at least there was marathon bullshitting amongst my co-workers to balance it all out... and an interesting discussion about the law of averages... how, is so much bad shit goes on, there has to be a likewise shift to the better. that is, if nature works on the balance principle. well... i certainly hope so. i'm weary of this journal being the eternal bitch-fest. it's been "engorged" with that crap, lately. |
