somebody else's blog had this as a header, and it's stuck in my head since i saw it. considering Blackbeard, the late shady renegade enforcer for the Crown used to free-lance not far from here, it hits home.
not that i want to get all growly after a most sublime week, but i'm not so starry-eyed that all of the usual crap doesn't, eventually, leak back in... and work looms large in the next few days. feck.

but, i'll cope, as i must. and raise a holy stink, as is expected.

since the "excision" (is that even a conjugation of "excise"?) of my dreadlock, two weeks ago, radio stuff has been steadily ramping up. CDs have been stuffing the mailbox, interviews aplenty offered, and i found the inspiration to throw a promo together for the first time after several fund-raisers have gone.

hopefully, i won't have to cut anything else off to get back to the drawing table... but, oh, i think i just did. temporarily.

i'm back in Virginia, after all.
