Bits And Pieces

Standing in the sun this morning with the first hot cup of coffee starting to take effect, I was pondering upon how my existence in this world has been like a jigsaw puzzle. Interconnected pieces, but separate... butting together but not integral... creating a whole in the process, but the big picture not apparent.

It's as if the pieces have been knocked ajar. Life at work and at home and at Cville separate and far apart. The mechanical and artistic parts a troublesome fit. Looking for that one bit that makes sense of all the others.

The incident earlier this week with the Ellie and Miss Jane parts attempting to come into contact came to naught. From either. Probably a good thing, but picture's no clearer. More time....

Today... a trip to the Mennonite store. Finally extracting the last cylinder head bolt (with effort) from the Trooper (crank bolt, next). Toying with the digital camera an ex-roommate (berNerd) is trying to get me to buy for top dollar (ain't gonna happen, but I will have one of these, soon). Searing up some steaks in the evening chill. Finally checking out the Arsenal v. Man City match (Gunners at the top of the table!).

It's definite... I'm on for spinning CD's between sets at Sunday's One Love For Africa benefit, sharing the duties with "DJ Redemption." No outrageous pseudonym THAT, huh? Sounds like there may be precip for that day... I certainly hope. We're doing the rain dance.

Yet another piece to fit into the mystery.
